Guatemala MapAmanda Craft

Amanda Craft has served as a PC(USA) mission co-worker in Guatemala since 2009, working primarily with the Sinódica , the Presbyterian Women’s organization of the Guatemalan Presbyterian Church (IENPG). Her focus is on women’s leadership development and Christian education. Amanda serves as the liaison for the new partnership between Flint River Presbytery and the Sinódica. Flint River Presbytery had sent two teams to Guatemala to initiate this partnership, and a third team will visit in November 2011, to participate in the Sinódica’s annual conference and conduct a VBS for the women attending. As the largest church in Flint River Presbytery, and one of the few with extensive experience in international partnerships, FPC members have played a key role in the development of this new partnership.

Prior to this assignment in Guatemala, Amanda worked for the PC(USA) Peacemaking Program for 8 years, and prior to that served as a Young Adult Volunteer in Guatemala for a year. She is married to Omar Giron and has a two year old son, Ethan. They live in Antigua.
