Covenant Hospital in Mombin Crochu
Mombin Crochu is located in the northeast corner of the Haiti, the poorest country in the western hemisphere. Medical care is scarce in this remote rural area of Haiti, and the hospital provides essential services that would otherwise not be available. While not directly affected by the earthquake of 2010, thousands fled the destruction for other areas such as Mombin Crochu, placing additional pressure on limited resources. Recent outbreaks of cholera in the country have exacerbated the situation. Our funds purchase food, medications, and essential equipment for the hospital staff and volunteer medical teams that travel to Mombin Crochu to assist them.
