Jan 10, 2012   //   CCS

Sundays, January 29, February 5, 19, 26

Taught by:  Rev. Bob Potts

Bob Potts served as the Pastor of the Rainbow Church in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and Cooperative Baptist Fellowship missionary from December 1, 1995, until his retirement in June 1998.  Prior to that he served as Pastor at First Baptist Church in Columbus for 20+ years; and previously served at several churches in Texas and Louisiana.  He has also served on the Executive Committee of Georgia Baptist Convention, as Chairman, Baptist Student Union Committee, Columbus Baptist Association (when their building was built), Vice Moderator, Columbus Baptist Association and various other jobs within the Association Board of Trustees, as well as on the board of the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.

Description:  Bob promises to pick up where he left off last time with his study of I Corinthians.  As he described the class before,  as we are aware of the difficulties of many modern churches, we assume the early churches were ideal and experienced no problems. Not so!  In I Corinthians Paul sets out to  speak to at least seven different problems of this troubled church that he had founded.
