Java Journey – Ladies Relationship Group – Every Thursday during Lent
10 a.m. at Midtown Coffee House, 1342 13th Street, Columbus. Everyone is welcome!
Co-led by Ashley Simon and Debbie Spear

B.Y.O.B. // Bring Your Own Bibles! – Led by Danny Dieth
We are starting a new group that will meet on Thursdays, noon at the church. This group is open to anyone who can be present. The group will determine the path of the class, but the intent is to offer a class where we can explore scripture, prayer, spiritual disciplines, whatever the group wishes to do! Bring your own lunch to the parlor starting Thursday, March 14.

He-Brews! – Led by Ed Adams III, Chris Woodruff, Danny Dieth
This is a new men’s group that will meet every Thursday night at 5:30 p.m. at Jar Fly located at 1358 13th Street, to talk “men stuff!” This could become a bible study, prayer group, a fellowship group, or a time to just check in with church friends. The group will determine its course. We will meet for the six Thursdays in Lent then assess the group’s future plans.

**Club 45** – New Fellowship Group for 4th and 5th Graders
Join us for lunch after church on Sunday, March 17. We’ll meet in front of the church and walk to Momma Goldberg’s. Please bring $5.00 to help with the cost. Facilitators are Vandy Middleton and Debbie Spear.

One way to use the six weeks of Lent to prepare for the events of Holy Week, is to use a daily devotional.  Below are three suggestions:

40 Acts is an online devotional for Lent which gives you 40 days of reflections and 40 days of daily acts to engage in. The link is:

d365 is an app for your phone or computer that is great year round and can be useful for the Lentern Journey. Pastor Danny has it on his phone and uses it often!

Pittsburgh Theological Seminary Lenten Devotional
Hard copies are available in the Earthen of the Chapel, Sanctuary, and in the Reception Hall.

Whether you use the above selections or something you find on your own, take advantage of this 40-day focus to walk more closely with Christ to the cross and the empty tomb.

If you have suggestions of devotions you are using or would like to suggest, please let Pastor Danny know.
