First Presbyterian’s Music Ministry seeks to provide opportunities for all ages to seek and worship God through music. Choirs provide leadership for worship services and provide participants with opportunities for service, learning, and fun. Contact Tom George through the church office for information about any of our music programs.

Music Program

Musical Ensembles

Adult Choirs – Our adult choirs provide leadership in our 8:45 and 11:00 worship services. We welcome you to come hear or sing with our semi-professional choirs as they sing the best sacred repertoire from the Renaissance to today.

Children’s Choirs – Our three children’s choirs are part of our midweek program. They lead in worship throughout the year with special programs at Christmas. All children are welcome to come and learn about music with us as we offer our songs of praise with child-like faith.

Youth Choir – This dynamic ensemble allows our youth to expand their knowledge of Christian worship. The excitement of our youth brings depth to our worship as they sing the best of contemporary and classical choral literature.

Handbell Choir – Our group of ringers enjoys performing modern handbell literature. This choir leads in worship throughout the year and enjoys fellowship and camaraderie each Tuesday. Join us if you read music and would like to be a substitute ringer.

Organs

First Presbyterian has two pipe organs, one in the chapel and one in the sanctuary.  These wonderful instruments lead our congregation and choirs in hymns, psalms, and spiritual songs each Sunday and on special occasions. Find out more about how all 3561 pipes sing to the glory of God.
