GOOD NEWS! GREAT JOY! Just look at the JOY on this child’s face after receiving an Operation Christmas Child shoebox full of gifts! You can provide GREAT JOY to a child this year! The time is now to participate in Operation Christmas Child (OCC) ! OCC is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief agency, headed by Franklin Graham. Sharing the GOOD NEWS of God’s love with hurting boys and girls is the heart of Operation Christmas Child. We will be collecting and packing shoeboxes with simple gifts: toys, games, hygiene items and school supplies. To learn more about OCC and read testimonies from shoebox recipients, visit

Shoeboxes2In 2015, FPC members packed and dedicated over 200 shoeboxes! We thank God for the opportunity to show Jesus’ love through the simple gifts we have packed. We pray that God sent each box to just the right child.

Shoebox Journey
From First Presbyterian, the shoeboxes will go to the Operation Christmas Child Collection Center at Lakewood Baptist Church in Phenix City. Volunteers will pack the shoeboxes into cartons. The cartons will travel by truck to the Atlanta Processing Center where they will be inspected. After that, the shoeboxes from Atlanta will end up in one of the following countries: Burkina Faso, Burundi, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Dominica, India, Jamaica, Mali, Mauritius, South Sudan, and sensitive countries.
