We’re so glad you’re here.

We invite you and your family to get intentional about making connections that matter here at First Presbyterian Church. At our church, your story matters. Relationships matter. We strive to make our church more than just a place, but a family.

Your first visit to the church

Entrance

First Presbyterian Church is located in Uptown Columbus at the corner of First Avenue and Eleventh Street. The main entrance is through the porte-cochère on First Avenue.

Parking

Sunday parking is available in the parking garage across First Avenue, in the church parking lot across Eleventh Street, and in the two-hour parking spaces along the street. Limited parking for the mobility impaired is available at the main entrance.

Worship Service

11 a.m. Worship service offers a traditional style of worship in our sanctuary, with a modern message. This service features our sanctuary organ, our musical ensembles, and engaging preaching. Nursery is available during service, as well as Children’s Church. This service is televised live on WRBL-TV3 and is available as a live stream video on our Facebook page.

Children & Youth

Children are always welcome in worship, as we believe there is no better place for a child to learn what it means to be part of the worshipping community.  A nursery is available for infants and toddlers, if that is more preferable for your family.  During the 11:00 Sunday service, children are invited up front for the “children’s sermon,” then children PreK4 through second grade are invited to attend Children’s Church.

Using a Montessori model informed by Godly Play, children will sing, hear stories from the Bible, and explore other faith practices that will nurture their spiritual growth.

Sunday School

Attend our Sunday School classes every Sunday at 10 a.m. We provide a variety of teaching, discussion, and Sunday morning projects. Our Sunday school programs are available for all ages, Pre-K through Adult. First Presbyterian Church Columbus believes God invites and causes us to grow through study, learning and prayer. We invite you to grow in your own knowledge of Jesus Christ and the Bible, and develop meaningful relationships with other believers.
